Important update on event submissions and edits 01-May-2024
We are currently transitioning to a new RSC events submission system and website.
• New event submissions may take up to one week to be published while we complete the transition.
• Editing existing events is temporarily unavailable. New edit links will be issued next week.
Your patience is appreciated while we finalise these improvements to the RSC events website.

Organofluorine chemistry: synthesis, applications, sources and sustainability

1 March 2022 09:00 - 3 March 2022 17:00, United Kingdom

Introduction
We are delighted to present this two day course On Line and will be divided up over three afternoon sessions, timings are all set in GMT (Greenwich Meantime) and are set later to help with our international clients.

March 1st, 2022 | 2.00 – 5.00pm UK
March 2nd, 2022 | 2.00 – 5.00pm UK
March 3rd, 2022 | 2.00 – 5.00pm UK

Organofluorine compounds are frequently encountered in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and fine chemical industries. Often the selective introduction of a fluorine atom or functional group into a molecule can be challenging, particularly at scale, with chemists often designing synthetic routes in which fluorine is introduced through strategic sourcing of raw materials rather than synthetically.

This on line course aims to provide an overview of fluorination technology and synthetic methods- both traditional and state of the art- highlighting industrial application. Detailed case studies are used to provide context and workshops enable delegates to familiarize themselves with the chemistry described.
