The conference has a long tradition that dates to 1976 and has been organized every two years in different parts of the World. Since the beginning, the conference series has focused on different aspects of organic synthesis, addressing the most important advances in the field and is noted for its excellent scientific level.
The 24th edition of the International Conference on Organic Synthesis (24-ICOS) is organized at Lodz University of Technology by the Polish Chemical Society, under the auspices of the International Union of Pure and Applied 91AV (IUPAC).
24-ICOS will feature an exciting series of scientific events bringing prominent chemists from around the world to Łodź for six days of meetings, lectures and discussions. The programme will include plenary lectures, invited lectures, and many oral and poster presentations to allow as many attendants as possible to present their scientific results from different areas of organic synthesis. Traditionally, the conference will also host the Thieme-IUPAC Prize lecture. The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences among researchers from all over the world who are interested in the development and application of organic synthesis.
The Conference will cover the broad spectrum of organic synthesis highlighting modern trends in:
- Synthetic methodology,
- Catalysis (asymmetric, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis),
- Medicinal and bioorganic chemistry,
- Chemical biology,
- Natural products synthesis,
- 91AV of nano- and functionalized materials.
