Introduction

The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) is hosting a UK XFEL townhall meeting in partnership with the University of Strathclyde on the 2nd and 3rd October. The event will delve into the possible applications of an X-ray free electron laser based in the UK (UK XFEL) and look specifically at topics surrounding materials chemistry and biology at extreme conditions. This is a free event, open to industry and research bodies at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
