Professor Mark Symes (University of Glasgow) - Leader of the Symes Group at University of Glasgow and Professor of Electrochemistry and Electrochemical Technology. Primary research interests "are in developing new electrochemical processes and electrochemical technology for the more sustainable production of fuels and key chemical feedstocks".
Professor Sara Walker SFHEA (University of Birmingham) - Professor of Energy and Co-Director of the Birmingham Energy Institute. Research focus on energy transitions, and whole energy systems, with an interest in building energy performance and hydrogen integration into energy systems".
The 2025/26 DGL is available in hybrid format for those further afield or unable to travel to London for the specific date.

The ECG's 2026 AGM will take place during the mid-afternoon break of the 2025/26 DGL event. and will run from 14:20 to 15:20. Registration for the DGL is not a requirement for attending the AGM.
